Navarathri Day 4
Worship of Goddess Kushmanda
On the fourth day of Navarathri, devotees worship Goddess Kushmanda, the creator of the universe with her divine smile. It is believed that she resides in the core of the sun and provides energy and vitality to all beings.
The Goddess is depicted with eight hands holding weapons, rosary, and a pot of nectar, seated on a lion. She is worshiped for good health, strength, wealth, and happiness.
Devotees offer pumpkin (ash gourd), red flowers, fruits, and sweets to please the Goddess. The color of the day is yellow, symbolizing brightness, energy, and prosperity.
This day reminds us that positivity and a cheerful attitude can create a world of happiness and abundance.
